Commands and keys

Guide

This page lists the chat commands, keys and mouse actions of Moo Classic. The game reads some commands itself and the server reads the rest. Where a command needs a level or a role, the table says so.

Quick facts

Feature Limit or cost
Trade, personal store, buying from a store Level 6
Global Chat (/post) Level 10
Moo Helper Level 20
Clearing PK status (/pkclear) Costs Moo Gold, see PK status below
Macros 10 slots, one line every 4 seconds

Chat

Press Enter to open the chat line, type, and press Enter again to send. Esc closes the line. A prefix at the start of the line chooses who hears it.

Start with Who sees it
nothing Players near you, in the log
~ Your party
@ Your guild
@@ Your alliance
# Players near you, shown longer above their heads
/post Every player on the server (level 10, see below)

Other chat keys:

  • Whisper: press Tab to move to the name box, type the name, then the message. Right-click a name in the log to open its whisper thread.
  • Recall: Up and Down bring back the lines you sent.
  • Log: PageUp and PageDown scroll the log. The mouse wheel scrolls the log when the pointer is over it.

Chat commands

Command What it does
/post <text> Level 10. Sends a line to every player on the server. One post each 10 seconds.
/whisper on / /whisper off Allows or blocks whispers.
/filter <word> Shows only the log lines with that word. /filter alone turns it off.
/chat Opens the chat window (also Y).
/bug Opens the problem report (also F12).
/language Lists the languages. /language <code> changes the language of your server messages.
/help [command] Shows how a server command is used.
/list Lists the commands you can use.
/<item name> Opens that item's explanation window, for example /Jewel of Bless. Only when no other command takes the line.
/1 to /0 Saves the text after it as a macro (see below).

Some words make your hero gesture when the line is sent. These are greetings such as hello, hi and thanks, goodbyes, praise such as good and wow, and a few faces such as ^^ and T_T.

Macros

  • /1 your text saves the text into macro 1. /0 is macro 10.
  • Alt with 1 to 0 says the macro. Hold the keys to repeat.
  • A macro says one line every 4 seconds, and not in Chaos Castle.
  • A macro cannot hold trade, party, guild or battle commands. If it does, those lines go out as plain chat.

Stats

Command or action What it does
/add str <n> Spends n unspent points on Strength. The same works with agi, vit, ene and cmd (Command, short form com).
+ in the character window (C) One click spends one point on that stat, when you have points to spend.

Single-stat forms such as /addstr do not exist. Use /add.

Moving

Command or action What it does
/move <map> or /warp <map> Takes you to a map on your Move list. Refused while you are dead. A map that is not on the list does nothing.
M Opens the Move list. Click a map to go there. The wheel scrolls the list.
Left click the ground Walks there. Hold the button to keep walking.

Party and guild

Command or action What it does
/party or /pt Invites the player you point at to your party.
/partyrules zen shared or /partyrules zen picker Party master only. Shares a zen pile picked up out of town equally between the picker and the members on the map, or leaves it all to the picker.
/partyrules join on or /partyrules join off Party master only. Lets other players ask to join your party.
/partylead <name> Party master only. Hands the party to another member who is online.
/partyjoin <name> Asks the master of that player's party to let you in, if the party takes requests.
P Opens the party window. Its Rules button shows the rules.
/guild Works without a guild. Invites the player you point at to join your guild.
/alliance or /union Guild members only. Asks the guild master you point at for an alliance. An alliance holds up to 5 guilds.
/hostilities or /rival Guild members only. Starts hostility with the guild master you point at.
/suspend hostilities or /rivaloff Guild members only. Ends hostility.
/war <guild name> Guild master only. Asks the named guild's master, if online and not at war, for a guild war.
/battlesoccer <guild name> Guild master only. The same, for a battle soccer match.
@ and @@ Guild and alliance chat (see Chat).
G Opens the guild window.
Ctrl + click a player Attacks that player outside a safe zone. A plain click attacks only outlaws (players with PK status). See the PK rules in Party and PK.

The Command Window's Guild tab has the guild and alliance commands, as buttons.

Party pings

  • Alt + left click on empty ground sends a ping to your party. It shows for 4 seconds on the ground and on the TAB map.
  • On the TAB map, Ctrl + click pings the spot, and Shift + click sets a pin there (a right click takes it away). A pin stays 15 minutes.

Trade and stores

Command or action What it does
/trade or /exchange Level 6. Asks the player you point at to trade. The player must be close by.
/personal store or /personalshop Level 6. Opens your personal store.
/buy <name> or /purchase Opens the store of the player with that name, or of the one you point at.
/view store on / /view store off Shows or hides the store titles over heads.

Stores use a different price currency by map: Moo Gold in Devias and Devias Wasteland, Jewel of Bless in Lorencia, and Zen elsewhere.

PK status

Command Cost What it does
/pkclear 50 Moo Gold for one kill, 80 for two, 100 for three or more. With no kill you only get a warning and pay nothing. Clears your own PK status.

The PK Clear Scroll from the Moo Gold shop clears any number of kills. It costs 100 Moo Gold.

Game masters clear for free. You cannot clear another player's status.

Q, W, E, R Drinks from the quick slots: Q healing, W mana, E Antidote, R Ale. Ctrl + the key with the pointer over a potion in the bag puts that kind in the slot.
Alt + 1 to 0 Says a macro.

Mouse

Action What it does
Left click a monster Attacks it. One swing per click, unless Auto attack is on in Options. With Auto attack on, the target stays after one click and the hero keeps swinging.
Left click an NPC Walks over and talks to it.
Left click an item on the ground Walks there and picks it up.
Right click Casts the selected skill at what is under the pointer. Right-clicking a bag item uses it, or sells it to an open shop, or moves it into an open vault, trade or mix box. Right-clicking a name in the chat log opens its whisper thread.
Mouse wheel Zooms the view in and out when Wheel zoom is on in Options (on by default). Also scrolls lists, and the chat log when the pointer is over it.

The camera is fixed. It does not turn, and no key rotates it. On a phone, pinch with two fingers to zoom.

Options

The Options window has these switches that change keys and clicks: Auto attack, Whisper beep, Enhanced effects, Wheel zoom, Tap inspects (touch), Show player names, and Keep computer awake where the device supports it.
