Guide

Moo Classic is a progressive classic server. It does not open everything at once. It opens at Season 0, then moves to Season 1, then Season 2. Each step adds classes, maps and events. What opened before stays open. This page lists what each season holds and why the server works this way.

Seasons

Season 0

The grand opening. It has four classes: Dark Wizard, Dark Knight, Fairy Elf and Magic Gladiator.

  • The Golden Invasion runs in Season 0. See Invasions.
  • The starting towns and fields are open, from Lorencia up to Icarus.
  • The first class quests are available. See Class quests.
  • Players start with the keys, shops and parties described in Getting started.

Season 1

Season 1 follows Season 0.

Season 2

Season 2 follows Season 1.

  • The Dark Lord joins as the fifth class. It has its own stats and gains 7 stat points per level, like the Magic Gladiator.
  • Chaos Castle opens.
  • Kalima opens.
  • The Dark Lord can enter Devil Square on the second level column of that page.

Other maps and events

Some content has no fixed season yet: Aida, Crywolf, Kanturu, the Land of Trials and Castle Siege. These arrive in the later steps, in the order the original game used, and each is announced before it opens. No dates are set.

Castle Siege is built as a map and a setup but does not run yet. Guilds cannot register for it. Its page lists the planned rules.

Content that stays off

Content from Season 3 and later is switched off, even where it already exists in the game files.

  • Third wings, Lahap and later NPCs are hidden.
  • Karutan is removed.
  • The Move list holds only Season 0 to 2 maps. Elveland, Raklion, Vulcanus and similar maps are not on it.
  • Elf Soldiers are removed from every map.

Season 3 content may be considered after Season 2. The Summoner and Rage Fighter are not planned.

What does not change

Every season keeps these rules.

  • Experience is 1x. There are no rate events.
  • The level cap is 400.
  • There are no resets on Moo Classic. Reset commands work only for staff.
  • Nothing is wiped when a season opens.

Reasons

Why it is progressive

The original game grew in steps. Each step gave players a new place to go. A server that opens everything at once removes that. Players reach level 400 and have nothing left to find.

Opening in steps gives each new map, class or event a reason to be noticed. The first week of a season has content that is new to everyone.

Why not all at once

Some players prefer a server where everything is open. Moo Classic is built as a hard server where every level is earned. The seasons set the pace of that climb.

Why the Dark Lord is in Season 2

The Dark Lord joining in Season 2 is the owner's choice for this server. The original game added the Dark Lord at a different time. Moo Classic stacks its seasons on one server, where the original replaced one season with the next. Placing the class in Season 2 gives the second step a class that is new to everyone.

Why the events are spread out

Events are placed by season so that each step brings something to do at the level players have reached. Golden Invasions come first because they need no level and no item.

After Season 2

The plan after Season 2 is new endgame content made for the classic game. The goal is to give level 400 players something to do. It is not a copy of a later season.

Later seasons' classes are not part of the plan. The Summoner will not be added.
