Agility

Guide
In short: Agility makes you attack faster, hit more often and get hit less. For a Fairy Elf with a bow it is also the main damage stat. Every class needs some, because most armour asks for it.
The character window (C): under Agility come defense with the defense rate in brackets, attack speed, and the defense rate against players

What Agility does for you

  • Faster attacks. Your swings, shots and spells come quicker, so you deal more damage each minute.
  • Better aim. It is the biggest part of your attack rate, the number that decides whether your hits land.
  • Dodging. It raises your defense rate, so monsters and players miss you more.
  • Defense. It adds base defense, which comes off every hit you take.
  • Bow damage for the Fairy Elf, and AG for every class.
  • Gear. Bows, crossbows and most armour ask for a minimum Agility.

What 100 Agility gives each class

What the character window gains for 100 more points of Agility.

Class Defense Defense rate (monsters) Attack rate (monsters) Attack speed AG
Dark Knight +33 +33 +150 +6 +20
Dark Wizard +25 +33 +150 +5 (spells +10) +40
Fairy Elf +10 +25 +150 +2 +20
Magic Gladiator +20 +33 +150 +6 (spells +5) +25
Dark Lord +14 +14 +250 +10 +20
  • A Fairy Elf with a bow also gains +14 lowest and +25 highest damage for every 100 Agility. Without a bow, Strength and Agility count the same.
  • The Dark Lord gets the most speed and aim from Agility, and the least defense.
  • The Fairy Elf gets the least speed from Agility. Her bow's own speed matters more.
Example: a level 150 Muse Elf with 560 Agility and 80 Strength shows bow damage 85-150 before the bow. With 660 Agility it shows 100-175, and her attack rate rises from 1,610 to 1,760. Open her in the character builder.

Agility against other players

Between players the game uses a second attack rate and defense rate. The window shows both under the monster ones. Level counts a lot here: each level adds 3 to the attack rate and 2 to the defense rate.

Class Attack rate (players) per 100 Agility Defense rate (players) per 100 Agility
Dark Knight +450 +50
Dark Wizard +400 +25
Dark Lord +400 +50
Magic Gladiator +350 +25
Fairy Elf +60 +10
Example: a level 150 Blade Knight with 170 Agility has an attack rate against players of 1,215. With 270 Agility it is 1,665. How the two rates turn into a hit chance is in Attack rate and defense rate.

Gear that needs Agility

Bows and Elf armour ask for the most. Knight and Lord armour asks for some too.

Item Class Agility at +0 Agility at +9
Elven Bow Elf 63 136
Tiger Bow Elf 140 221
Silver Bow Elf 188 269
Chaos Nature Bow Elf 357 479
Saint Crossbow Elf 423 552
Celestial Bow Muse Elf 566 726
Great Reign Crossbow Muse Elf 875 1,105
Silk Armor Elf 62 118
Spirit Armor Elf 125 190
Guardian Armor Elf 156 221
Dragon Armor Knight, Gladiator 73 97
Black Dragon Armor Knight 182 230
  • The need rises with each +level and is higher on an excellent item. Each item's page gives the exact need for the level and options you pick.
  • Wizard staffs and robes ask for little or no Agility.

How much Agility to aim for

Class Rule of thumb
Fairy Elf, bow build Most of your points. Your bow and your damage both want it
Fairy Elf, support build Enough for your armour and bow, the rest in Energy
Dark Knight Enough for your armour, more if you fight players
Dark Wizard A good second stat: speed, defense and dodging for a fragile class
Magic Gladiator, Dark Lord Enough for your armour, more for speed
Example: a level 150 Soul Master with 160 Agility casts at magic speed 17. With 260 Agility it is 27, and his defense goes from 40 to 65. Open him in the character builder.
