Health, mana and AG

Guide
In short: life (HP) keeps you alive, mana pays for spells and most skills, and AG pays for weapon skills and some others. Your stats set how big each bar is. Mana and AG refill by themselves everywhere, life only in a safe zone, so out in the field potions keep you going.

The three bars

Bar Where What empties it What makes it bigger
Life (HP), the red orb Left of the bar Hits you take Vitality and your level
Mana, the blue orb Right of the bar Spells and most skills Energy and your level
AG, the thin green tube Beside the mana orb Weapon skills and some others All your stats: Strength, Agility, Vitality, Energy and Command

At 0 life you die. See Death. Each skill's mana and AG cost is in Skills.

How big each bar gets

Class Life per Vitality point Mana per Energy point Where most AG comes from
Dark Knight 3 1 Energy: 1 AG a point
Dark Wizard 2 2 Agility
Fairy Elf 2 1.5 Strength and Vitality
Magic Gladiator 2 2 Vitality and Agility
Dark Lord 2 1.5 Strength and Command

Every level also adds some life and mana by itself. The stat pages give the full numbers for each class.

Example: at level 150 a Blade Knight with 240 Vitality and 38 Energy has 1,055 life, 123 mana and 204 AG. A Soul Master with 120 Vitality and 506 Energy has 420 life, 1,312 mana and 213 AG.

How the bars refill by themselves

Bar Out in the field In a safe zone (towns) Sitting down to rest
Life Does not refill About 1 % of the bar every 7 seconds About 3 % more every 5 seconds
Mana About 3.7 % of the bar every 3 seconds The same About 3 % more every 5 seconds
AG About 3 % of the bar plus 2 every 3 seconds. A Dark Knight gets 5 % 3 more each time The same as standing
  • A safe zone is the part of a town where no one can attack you.
  • You rest when your hero sits, for example on a bench or a chair.
  • Mana refills as a share of the bar, so a big bar refills faster in numbers.
Example: a Soul Master with 1,312 mana gets back about 48 mana every 3 seconds. Empty to full takes a little under a minute and a half.

Potions

Potion Refills How much
Apple Life 10 % of your full life, plus 50 less your level
Small Healing Potion Life 20 %, plus 100 less your level
Healing Potion Life 30 %, plus 200 less your level
Large Healing Potion Life 40 %, plus 300 less your level
Small Mana Potion Mana 20 %, plus 100 less your level
Mana Potion Mana 30 %, plus 200 less your level
Large Mana Potion Mana 40 %, plus 300 less your level
  • The extra part never goes below 0. At level 300 and up, a Large potion gives its share and nothing more.
  • A healing potion above +0 heals 5 % more for each +level.
  • A potion pays out over about a second, not all at once.
  • Q drinks a healing potion and W a mana potion. See Commands and keys.
Example: a level 150 Blade Knight with 1,055 life drinks a Large Healing Potion. It heals 40 % of 1,055, which is 422, plus 300 - 150 = 150, so 572 in all.

Moo Classic: right after you hit or are hit by another player, and in a duel, a healing potion makes the next one wait a moment. Mana potions are never held. See Party and PK.

Tips

  • Spend some points on Vitality early. Potions heal a share of your full life, so a bigger bar also makes each potion worth more.
  • A Dark Knight who runs out of AG can still swing. A few more Energy points keep his skills going longer.
  • Rest in town between hunts instead of buying potions to fill up.
