Trading safely

Guide
In short: find items for sale in the Market, then hand them over in the game: a personal store or the trade window. A stall only shows items its seller holds right now, checked every minute. We protect what changes hands in the game. Money sent outside the game can't be recovered.

The rule

You may sell items for anything you like, but we only protect what changes hands in the game: trades and personal stores. Money sent outside the game, by a payment app or anything else, can't be recovered by staff.

We protect We can't protect
A trade in the trade window Money sent by a payment app or bank
A buy from a personal store A deal agreed outside the game
The item you get: both sides see its card before OK A promise to hand an item over later

That's why stalls take prices in Moo Gold, zen or Jewels of Bless, or Contact me, and why notes can't carry cash prices, payment apps, phone numbers or links.

What a stall proves

A stall shows What it means
✓ Held by the seller The seller holds this very item right now: worn, in the inventory, in the personal store or in the vault. Checked every minute
⚠ Changed since listed The item was upgraded or changed after it was priced. It stays hidden until the seller prices it again
✕ No longer held The item was traded, sold or dropped. The listing comes down by itself
Online or Offline Only when the seller turns it on, and 5 minutes late. A stall never shows where anyone is

A stall can't show that a seller will keep their word. "Held by" means held, not safe to pay first.

How to pay

Paid in Hand it over with
Moo Gold A personal store in Devias or Devias Wasteland. The item and the Moo Gold change hands in one step
Jewels of Bless A personal store in Lorencia, or the trade window
Zen The trade window, or a personal store in Noria

A personal store is the safest way: the buyer pays the price the store shows and gets the item at once, with nothing to agree on.

Before you press OK

  1. Compare the card line by line. The trade window shows the same card as the stall: the +level, Luck, Skill, every excellent option and the ancient set. A lookalike can differ in one line.
  2. Check the name. Use the stall's Whisper button: it copies the exact name, so Ravenhart and RavenhartI can't fool you.
  3. Press OK last. Wait until the other side stops changing the window. If anything changes after you pressed OK, take your OK back and check again.
  4. Count the zeros. 100,000,000 zen and 10,000,000 zen look alike at a glance.
