In short: Energy makes every knight skill hit harder and gives the mana to keep casting. Here it works best with about half your points left in Strength.
Good and bad
Good at
- Each skill hit is multiplied by about 3 at level 400, against 2.1 for a Strength Knight
- Mana 1,229 at level 400: skills all hunt long
- Strong with a good weapon

- Full Energy loses damage: see below

Why it works here
A knight's skills multiply its weapon damage, and Energy raises that multiplier. But the weapon damage itself comes from Strength, so all Energy and no Strength hits less: in our engine a level 400 knight with only 300 Strength does about a quarter less with Twisting Slash than one with 1,400 Strength. This split keeps 800 Strength and puts 1,019 in Energy: Twisting Slash 1,237 to 1,578, close to a Strength Knight, with four times the mana.
On Moo Classic: Pure Energy is weaker here; half Energy, half Strength is close to the Strength Knight with far more mana.
History
Energy BK became famous with later seasons' combo; in Season 2 it is a mana and multiplier build.
